There are some couples who make you fall in love with your job all over again, and Craig and Sarah are definitely one of them.
When Craig and Sarah booked me as their Whitsundays wedding photographer for their wedding on 25 July, I couldn't have been more honoured. Spending the afternoon with them during their engagement session at the stunning Montes Reef Resort in Hideaway Bay made me even more excited to capture their wedding day.
Nestled along one of the most beautiful stretches of the Whitsunday coastline, Montes Reef Resort provided the perfect backdrop for their engagement photos. With breathtaking ocean views, tropical gardens, golden afternoon light, and the peaceful beaches of Hideaway Bay, it's easy to see why this location is one of my favourite places for Whitsundays engagement photography.
Like many couples, Craig and Sarah admitted they were a little nervous at the beginning. It's completely normal! Standing in front of a camera can feel a little daunting.
We started slowly on the beautiful restaurant deck overlooking the ocean, chatting, laughing, and simply getting to know each other a little better. Before long, we wandered down onto the beach, and that's when everything changed.
The nerves disappeared.
The laughter became genuine.
The smiles became effortless.
From that moment on, it was simply about the two of them enjoying each other's company while I documented the love, connection, and excitement they share.
They were an absolute dream to photograph—fun, relaxed, adventurous, and completely in love. Sessions like these remind me that the best photographs aren't created through perfect poses, but through genuine moments.
And then came the perfect ending...
With the sun beginning to dip lower over the Whitsunday coastline, Craig and Sarah celebrated with a champagne pop on the beach—a beautiful way to mark this exciting season of their lives. It wasn't just a celebration of their engagement, but a celebration of everything that's still to come.
I have to say, I'm absolutely blown away by the final gallery.
The photographs are everything I had hoped for and more. Every image reflects the joy, excitement, and love these two share, and I genuinely can't stop smiling every time I look through them.
